About Pre-Conference

The Pre-Conference Workshops at the WASLI Oceania Conference 2025 offer a rare and valuable opportunity for interpreters from across the Pacific to come together for two days of learning, collaboration, and professional development.

Designed specifically for interpreters from the Pacific Islands, these workshops will feature a range of presenters sharing knowledge, skills, and insights. With limited access to ongoing training and professional development in many island nations, this gathering provides a vital space to exchange ideas, strengthen regional networks, and build capacity within the profession.

Participants will be encouraged to take what they’ve learned back to their communities, helping to foster growth and support the development of sign language interpreting across the Pacific.
